Cedar Key

Ben and I took Nana to Cedar Key for the afternoon yesterday. We ate lunch overlooking the Gulf and Ben had his first taste of fresh Grouper. I didn't like fish until after graduating from college, so I was fully prepared for Ben to gag and spit it out, but he just kept opening his little mouth for more. Of course, he thought it went very nicely with a side of cheese grits! Ben contemplating the menu

More cheese grits, please! The upside about Ben not crawling yet is that we can sit him on the picnic table for the duration of our meal without him trying to crawl off. He was perfectly content to sit there and watch the birds and boats in the ocean. He is also a big fan of people watching. Takes after his mom I guess!

Ben loves his Nana!

Swinging at the park
The view from a swing doesn't get much better than this!

Checking out the sand. Ben's getting excited for his trip to Perdido Key in June. I haven't told him that it is a Girl's Weekend yet, but I don't think he'll mind all of the attention from the ladies!!
