We decided to turn our entire weekend into a pumpkin patch extravaganza, so on Sunday we headed to
Rader Family farms with Matt and Nico's family. We spent 4 hours there, which was not long enough for the kids!

Ben enjoyed playing in a big tub of corn

Carl's cousin, Melissa, came along for the fun. It was great to have another adult to help watch all of the kids! She also volunteered to jump with Ben on the huge inflatable thing pictured above! Ben has become quite fond of Melissa since she started the tradition of buying him M & M's at the
BHS football games!

The kids also loved the area with little playhouses. This area also included a mini post office and general store. Ella was not tall enough to reach the pedals, but she definitely looks like she knows exactly what she's doing! A trait she inherited from her father, no doubt!

The boys loved "driving" these trains. Ben is beyond excited to be living so close to Connor and
Lukie!! And Ella is developing quite the obsession with Penelope, or at least Penelope's pacifier!

Ella loved the
hayrack ride and getting down and dirty in the dirt and rocks! I figured that Ella would probably be a tomboy since Ben was so domestic, but she does love playing with her dolls. I guess she will just be a well-rounded little girl!

After a long day at the pumpkin patch, Uncle Fred and Aunt Jamie met us back at our house with lots of pizza. Ben and the boys had fun playing in the backyard after dark and we enjoyed being so close to family again. It was a great weekend!
