Nursery

Because I spent so much time planning the nursery for our little girl, I had to take a few pictures before we make it a tad more masculine for Dylan!

I made the fabric poms hanging above the crib. I was half way through the third one when I went into labor with Dylan, and they were very time consuming to make, so I'm glad I didn't waste 3 more hours finishing the last one!

I completely fell in love with these curtains when I saw them on Pinterest and planned the rest of the nursery colors around them. Fortunately, Ella is still in her nursery, so when I decorate her big girl room, she will get to use these lovely curtains!
I had the sign above the crib made by someone I found on Etsy. Fortunately, I decided to paint the walls gray and went with gray letters instead of coral! Below, I framed the lyrics to one of our favorite Avett Brother's songs. We saw them in concert when I was pregnant with Dylan! It also worked out that I was using turquoise in her room!

My Grandma Myers made the quilt, crib skirt, and bumper, which makes them extra special. The bedding turned out exactly how I pictured it and the quilt is beautiful. She quilts completely by hand, which is pretty amazing considering that there are thousands of perfect, tiny stitches on it. I really, really love the quilt, so I decided to keep it up. Plus, it does have a lot of blues in it. And, its just another part of his mixed up gender story :)

Emily - I got the curtains from Urban Outfitters in case your next one is a girl!
Thanks, Sarah!
Tiffani - impressive eyes! We got the Scentsy Lion as a gift and it makes the nursery smell so nice!
Jody - I purchased the frames through a local photographer. They are Organic Bloom frames and I am in love! You need some for those beautiful pics of your girls :)
