Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day! Ben's first gift came when I woke at 7:45am and realized that he was still sleeping!! His Aunties Myrna and Marcia babysat last night while we went to see Cirque Du Soleil, so they must have worn him out!!
We enjoyed brunch with the Redmond family at Sister's this morning. They were pretty busy, so we were glad that Fischer and Ben had each other to keep themselves entertained! After that, we headed over to church for the late morning service and Ben presented me with a lovely red carnation when we picked him up from the nursery. It has been a special day and I am very thankful for the honor of getting to be a mom to Mr. Ben (and little Ella on the way!)

We have been thinking a lot about our moms and grandmas back in Illinois today. Ben is lucky to have two wonderful grandmas who like to spoil and love on him like crazy! Growing up, Carl and I were both fortunate to have special relationships with our grandparents. We are so happy that Ben has been able to get to know his Great-Grandmas since they have been such an important part of our lives!

And we can't forget to mention how lucky we are to have Myrna and Marcia down here in Gainesville with us. They are Ben's "Florida Grandmas" and we don't know what we would do without them!!
