Ben had a few special surprises from the Easter Bunny when he woke up Easter morning. After that, we had a special Easter service at home since we didn't want to risk exposing the other kids at church to his recent illness! Even though we didn't actually go to church, I still couldn't resist dressing him up in his Easter outfit!
This is probably one of the few times in his my life where I will actually color coordinate with my son. Ben didn't seem to mind, but Carl did not approve of the preppy pink stripes I dressed him in!
After "church", Ben helped his Dad put together his new dresser from IKEA. It is a good size dresser, but came in two very small boxes and a 30 page instruction booklet! Carl was definitely glad to have a helper!
Later that morning, we had brunch outside at Sister's Cafe in Haile Village. It was a beautiful morning and we were even lucky enough to have a dog seated next to us! All 3 of us took an afternoon nap and then headed to the pool for a couple of hours. I knew I was going to be homesick for my family yesterday, so I made Grandma Myers' lemon lush recipe to make me feel a little more connected to everyone back home. Plus, I've been having a craving for it for the past 3 weeks! 
April 12th is also the 10 year anniversary of when Carl and I started dating. He asked me to his Senior Prom and the rest is history. . . . . .

Thanks for posting Easter pictures. Ben carries the "Preppy" look quite well! Glad you had a fun day together... we missed you in Illinois! My Mom spoiled her kids... my favorite Lemon Meringue pie and Denny's favorite Banana Cream! Hope Ben is cleared to move about freely again!
