Golf

In anticipation of the upcoming Master's Tournament, Ben has been dragging out his golf clubs. However, this week he is more interested in being the caddy. He likes to wheel the bag around the front yard and will occasionally take the clubs in and out, but there has been little driving or putting practice going on!!

In other news, Ben had his 21 month check yesterday (we skipped 18 months due to his ped being on maternity leave). He weighed in at 28 lbs 2 oz (70th percentile) and was 34 3/4 in long (90th percentile). His head circumference continues to be off the charts, but his doctor said that it was holding steady up there and is not growing at quite the same rate! We are praying that Ella has a nice, normal sized head when she is born!!

As soon as we walked into the exam room, he pointed to the otoscope and said "ears" and then to the ophthalmoscope and said "eyes". I could not believe that he remembered what those instruments did! He was very excited when Dr. Kelly examined him and she was impressed that he willingly let her do whatever she wanted. Maybe he will follow in his parents' footsteps and have a career in medicine as well!

The boy is just so talented. As usual, Auntie Marcia and I enjoyed having lunch today with our favorite young man (and of course with his Mom also). He's certainly a little charmer and he gives the best eskimo kisses. Can't wait for Ella to arrive so we can "do" brunch. Love you all.

Love his shoes!!!! Are they crocs?? You'll have to fill me in on them... Jude's crocs do not stay on his feet very well...but these look more secure.

Em ~ Ben LOVES his shoes, too! He requests to wear is "cocs" each time we put shoes on him! I actually got them on sale at Stride Rite last fall for like $12, but just saw that they are on sale again at our store here. They stay on really well and they must be comfy if he likes to wear them so much!
