Last weekend was the American Association of Orthodontics annual session. Since it was in Chicago this year, the residents from UF flew into Bloomington a day early to hang out and see Carl's practice. We lucked out with beautiful weather and had a great time catching up with everyone. It was a little surreal to have such a big part of our Gainesville life in Illinois with us!
I was able to spend Friday and Saturday in Chicago. We all went to the Cubs game on Friday, and while it ended up being pretty chilly, we did see a Cubs win!!
On Friday night, we had dinner with the ladies who work with Carl. He is so lucky to have such a great staff and we always have a lot of fun when we get together! Carl's conferences started on Saturday, so I spent the day with my sister. Despite the horrible weather, we shopped and had a fabulous lunch. And then I came home and took a nap (bliss!) before the UF alumni dinner.
The kids got to stay with both sets of grandparents while we were away, so I know that had a pretty awesome weekend, too! I heard that there was some major spoiling going on!
