Sick . . . again!!

He started out with a fever on Monday and by Wednesday, I noticed blisters on his lips and tongue. A trip to his pediatrician confirmed that he has Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease! This is a nasty little virus that causes painful blisters in the mouth and on the hands and feet. It is also highly contagious, so we have been going stir crazy quarantined to our house! Yesterday, we decided that our sidewalk had been mowed enough, so we took the lawn mower up to Haile for a change of scenery. There are miles of paths there, so we could mow without worrying about spreading his germs!

After all of that hard work, we walked to the Village Market for some strawberry ice cream. Ben says that that good part about having blisters in his mouth is that he gets to eat all the ice cream, applesauce, and mac n' cheese that he wants!!

Today was another beautiful day, and since we couldn't go to the park, we decided to meet Daddy for a picnic at Lake Alice.

Ben needed a little rest when he finished eating after all his running around!

Pain wise, it seemed as though Ben was doing better today, so I decided to see how he would do without Tylenol or Motrin this afternoon. By dinner time, he was in a terrible mood, so we gave him some medicine and tried to distract him. This led to a foam party!!

Obviously, Ben quickly forgot about his blisters and spent the rest of the evening covering himself from head to toe in shaving cream!

Poor little guy! He does look happy with his ice cream and shaving cream though. (:

After our photography lesson in MOPS, I'm wondering what kind of camera do you have? Your photos always look amazing!

Ice cream and mac n' cheese are some of the best things but having to stay home isn't always fun.
